Secondary fermentation goes Austria
You wouldn’t believe the weather here in Helsinki. People keep saying it’s spring but it doesn’t look that way. It didn’t stop me to grab one smoking tortilla made by Romeo y Julieta. Great smoke with some intense tobacco flavours with hints of cinnamon and and black pepper. Nice and slow burn. There is a certain distinguished character to this particular cigar which I like. Never mind the weather, this made my evening.

#fortifiedfriday - Hey hey hey! PX is here. Pedro Ximénez, for sure one of the most gnarliest wine styles out there. This Friday I will spoil my sweet tooth with a small glass of this Don Guido PX 20 Years. ‘Why only a small glass’, you ask? Because it’s soooo sweet! But it is quite delicious. Aged PX has a certain immortal feel to it which I like. Doesn’t really need much else than this. Maybe just a cigar or a shot of insulin. Sherry rocks!
#fortifiedfriday - As you may know today is Good Friday and the only thing good about it is that it’s Fortified Friday which means I can open something tasty. This time I went for a Madeira and it’s rocking. Not an expensive one but simple, tasty with a very good drinkability. Madeira, if God made anything better he kept it to himself.
The episode where we try to convince you that we can read + we’re drinking some pinotage
#fortifiedfriday - This week I’m tasting a Quevedo colheita port from 1992 (bottled 2009). Colheita is my favorite style of port (if I have to pick one) and I could drink that stuff by the gallons with incredible ease. In Helsinki it’s around -20°C today so that alone is a good reason to enjoy some great fortified wines. Saude!
